Dodge will reveal the final 'Last Call' car in Las Vegas on March 20.

The ultimate ICE muscle car has been delayed but the Daytona will party with the SRT.

Dodge is finally killing the Challenger and Charger after a long run that saw several higher-horsepower variants and special or limited editions. That said, the automaker isn't going to let its flagship cars die without a party. Dodge began rolling out a series of "last call" edition Challenger and Charger models in the fall of 2022, but the latter car missed its debut at SEMA in November due to repeated engine blowouts. . Dodge recently announced a release date for the legendary muscle car and is turning the event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway into a full-on branded muscle car theme park.

Dodge said it will release the seventh "Last Call" edition car on March 20, 2023 at the famous racetrack. The event will include drag racing, celebrity appearances, thrill rides, a Dodge car show, and parties on The Strip at the speedway. The unveiling will be open to the public if you live nearby and want to attend, but will also be live on dodgegarage.com.

Six others have already landed in the series, including unique tech on both cars. Since the holdouts have long been gone, the big six- and eight-cylinder cars have no place in today's increasingly electrified auto market, so the writing has been on the wall for the Charger and Challenger for a long time. .

The cars' replacement hasn't been directly named, but Dodge is surprisingly toying around with the concept of a fully-formed electric muscle car that fits the bill. The Charger Daytona SRT Concept will also be on display at the "Last Call" event, offering what Dodge says is "a big step on the performance brand's path toward an electric future, a presents a concept that reimagines a muscle car. Maybe."

It is not clear whether the concept will be available for thrill rides or will be a static display, as has been the case at recent auto shows. Dodge has shown the car in motion, albeit slowly, several times and demonstrated its very strange synthetic exhaust. We've also seen the entire interior of the car, which looks production-ready, so this car or similar is coming very soon.
